Online group finder Groupfinder have just released data about their players – revealing that over 90% of players are looking to play Dungeons & Dragons. However, our own carefully curated statistics should make you question this – we have discovered that in one long-standing community, only one game was 5th edition compatible.
In fact, the most popular game in the community was MÖRK BORG, which had over twice as many games played as its nearest competitor.

A higher level of analysis braking the games down according to their system reveals that, contrary to common belief, Carved by Brindlewood, Paragon and OSR games are all much more popular than D&D. As this group has existence since 2020, involved upwards of six people, of at least one gender, we think this is pretty conclusive.
